Johnny Depp is in a new movie called Black Mass. He is best known for playing Jack Sparrow, the pirate Captain. I became a fan when I saw the 1990 movie Edward Scissorhands.

In Black Mass, Depp plays Whitey Bulger, the brother of a state senator and the most infamous violent criminal in the history of South Boston, who became an FBI informant to take down a Mafia family invading his turf.
Benedict Cumberbatch, another one of my favorite actors, is Bill Bulger, brother of Depp’s character.
What is your favorite Johnny Depp movie?
I have been a fan of Johnny Depp ever since I saw Edward Scissorhands (which I saw several times), then I liked him as Gilbert Grape. After I saw Chocolat, I was hooked and tried to see anything by Depp, including all the Pirates of the Carribbean.
In fact he inspired a character, Prince Ian in my novel, Mandy’s Song. All my photos of him on Pinterest have been repinned several times. Can’t get enough of him.
I haven’t seen all his movies but I’m looking forward to this new one. I saw the previews and he looks very different.
