New 7 Day Challenge Goes Awry

I’ve joined a 7 day challenge.  It is supposed to be a live stream with a call to action that leads here where I will  post a quote or a tip a day.

The hours slipped away with no live stream, but here’s a quote.

See you tomorrow.

(Did you have a plan that didn’t work out today?)

3 Days 3 Quotes Challenge — Day 3

Erika Kind's photo on ship

Erika Kind

This is the last day for the 3 Day 3 Quotes Challenge. Again thanks to Erika Kind from Liechtenstein for inviting me to this challenge. https://erikakind.wordpress.com/blog/

My quote is from Albert Rothman’s memoir, A Brooklyn Odyssey, Travails and Joys of a Boy’s Early Life. It’s the last verse of his poem, “Elevated Train.”
“I stand on a see-saw
straddling the balance point
hard to move forward
fearful I will drop
if I move past the middle.”

How many of us feel like we are balancing in the middle instead of moving forward?

My quote:

“The historical novelist gleans the rubble of the past, tastes the grit, extracts the jewels.”
