What Do We Do In A Writing Retreat?

Jessica-DVC portrait

Jessica Barksdale, author and writing instructor at DVC and UCLA

Friday evening, the twelve attendees introduced themselves at Jessica Barksdale’s annual writing retreat. Local attendees met three writers from the Los Angeles area and one from San Dieg0 who flew up here for the event.

Jessica spoke about going deeper into the villains of our stories to make them more human. Villains are bad but not all bad. “They were babies once too.”
